Auditor (Remote)
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Auditor to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring all work is conducted in line with ISA standards. This is a mid-level position working closely with the project manager on all auditing projects. This position is hired through Swapp Agency on behalf of our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audit engagements from start to finish, fully compliant with ISA standards (as applicable for remote work)
- Ensure audit files are prepared and maintained in accordance with ISA requirements
- Work independently on auditing projects in close collaboration with the project manager
- Use Descartes audit software to manage and complete audit assignments
- In the future, potentially assist with accounting tasks, including financial statements and tax returns for Icelandic companies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of audit experience (additional experience is welcome)
- Knowledge of ISA auditing standards
- Certified Accountant or Auditor qualification is preferred
- Experience with audit management software (Descartes experience is a plus, though not required)
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficiency in English
