Rizzani De Eccher is looking for a Site Superintendent

Project: Design and build MILCON Projects P-307 and P-308. These projects will provide modifications to existing Hangar 831 and installation of an outdoor automatic aircraft rinse facility at Keflavik, Iceland.


Job Mission:

 

Provide on-site coordination for all phases construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, in relation to the activities executed on site


Job Responsibilities:

 

The Site Superintendent is responsible for:

– scheduling subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion;

– performing quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed;

– communicating with project team regarding material submittals;

– ensuring that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work;

– coordinating required inspections with local jurisdictions;

– identifying subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards;

– identifying conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution;

– maintaining daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite;

– performing superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously.

– ensuring subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team;

– walking all units on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning;

– presiding over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work;

– issuing notices of non-compliance to subcontractors in regards to quality of work or scheduling;

– ensuring that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner;

– performing job progress and completion punch list identification and completion

Job Requirements:

 

– knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and the company’s competitors;

– knowledge of general construction with a good understanding of civil, infrastructural, MEP works, etc.;

– ability to organise activities in the framework of the process managed;

– ability to evaluate make-or-buy decisions;

– knowledge of construction cost estimating, construction scheduling, strong understanding of construction drawings;

– knowledge of labour costs in construction, uses, techniques and costs of materials;
– knowledge of contracts, legal issues and safety standards;

– good knowledge of English and, preferably, knowledge also of other languages (French, Spanish, Russian);

– familiarity with the legislation concerting works contracts and public works and the relevant laws;

– technical diploma;

– experience on similar roles within construction and engineering field/projects;

– site experience within multicultural and international environment;
